Ap environmental Science
AP Environmental Science (APES) is designed to be the equivalent of a one-semester, introductory college level laboratory course in environmental science. APES is interdisciplinary embracing a wide variety of topics from different areas of study. Topics include: geology, biology environmental studies, environmental science, history, political science, chemistry, and geography.
The goal of this course is to provide students with the scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies required to understand the interrelationships of the natural world, to identify and analyze environmental problems both natural and human-made, to evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and to examine alternative solutions for resolving and/or preventing them.
The APES exam is May 4th 2015. The exam consists of two sections. The first section consists of 100 multiple choice questions. The second section is four essays. Although math is an integral portion of the exam calculators are not permitted. Throughout the year we will practice for the exam by taking practice exams, writing and grading past free response questions, and using review books.
